Well hello there! I’m very excited to talk to you about a product that I use A LOT. I’m not sure what average is, but I’m pretty sure I sweat more than the average person. This past summer, some of my CrossFit WODs got super hot. I’d be sweating before the warm-up even started and my shirt would be off by the time warm-up was complete. One thing that stayed on though was my headband. The best headband I’ve ever worn, a Halo Headband, has become a staple in my workout ever since. And now, you can get one for yourself!
I discovered Halo Headband while searching for a stars-and-stripes American headband. I didn’t know how awesome their products were at the time, but I was instantly hooked. I reached out to Halo and asked them to provide headbands to giveaway to my awesome readers. They graciously agreed to participate. Rest assured that all opinions here are my own!
So, what makes Halo Headbands so fantastic?
Quite simply, the headbands keep sweat out of your eyes!
Dryline fabric is a high performance material that quickly evaporates moisture so you stay dry and comfortable. It is lightweight, durable and abrasion resistant. It will not lose it’s shape or form. Halo headbands combine effective long lasting odor control with moisture management and easy care. What does moisture management mean to you? It means the fabric will help keep you dry by wicking away sweat and perspiration from your body when you are working out or working hard. In fact, this wicking property is one of the most important feature in high performance apparel. It helps keep you comfortable in uncomfortable situations.
Other benefits of a Halo Headband include:
- Controls odor
- Wicks perspiration away from the body
- Dries quickly
- Releases stains
- Soft and breathable
Here’s some proof for how the headband works.
Halo doesn’t just make these headbands. They have hats, visors, bandanas, all in great fun colors! I’m giving away the Halo II Headband, one black and one red! Hmm, maybe I can work with them to design a beard band?
What impresses me the most about these headbands is how they hold up to the demands of CrossFit. The headbands work when I’m running, and still function just as well when I stop running and start doing pull-ups or burpees. The band stays put and I never worry about it slipping during barbell work like cleans or deadlifts. It even stays put when I’m inverted doing hand stand push-ups!!
The Halo Headband is a great product, period. Enter the Rafflecopter giveaway below for your chance to win! Thanks to Halo Headband for sponsoring this post and for making a great product that I use all the time!
I am impressed that this headband stays put even when you go from upside up to upside down while doing inverted hand stand push ups! I gotta be honest, I stopped wearing headbands as I couldn’t find one that would stay put. Awesome review Chris! You are onto something with that beard-band ๐
Yes, I’m applying for beard band patent right now haha! I remember one workout with a ton of burpees and I removed a previous headband (just do it) because it wouldn’t stay put. Never had an issue with these.
I have yet to find a headband that doesn’t slip off while WODing, looks like you’re on to something!
These are them. They even stay put through shirt removal!
Sweatiest WOD? Probably Kalsu… Or deadlift Kalsu… Urgh!

Never done any version of Kalsu, but that sounds dreadful. Deadlift Kalsu might be ok… but nope to the thruster!
Another good review, keep up the good work.
Thank you sir.
I sweat through 2 headbands everyday at Crossfit. I would love to try a Halo Headband. Thank you.
I saturate mine pretty good but it still doesn’t leak into my eyes even when I can wring it out after and create a waterfall into the sink!
A headband that actually stays in place… what kind of sorcery is this?! I have yet to find a headband that actually manages to stay put and not creep back or down. I’m intrigued, Chris, you had me at “giveaway” ๐
Also- lol to the sweat/ no sweat pic. That was very helpful proof

Introducing a headband that doesn’t slip and keeps sweat out of the eyes – sign me up! I feel like my head is on the small side so finding headbands that don’t slip has been quite the challenge. Great giveaway!

Bahahahahaha!!!! …..TRUTH!! ๐
Mine sweatiest WOD was probably Helen. First time I had shirtless (to quote the Glasgow lingo – Taps Aff!). Thankfully WOD’s with running aren’t too bad in Scotland, especially outside of summer!
Hahaha, at first I was like wtf is taps aff….. but then I said it out loud and I got it. =)
The ridiculous number of typo’s in that comment won’t have help much either! Need to proof read in the future! ๐
I’m not really that familiar with a lot of workout headbands, but I’ve been researching some to find a great one to start using. I need one for sure! The sweatiest workouts for me are either hiking outside in Arkansas summers or HIIT workouts.

Seriously, these are great. The best I’ve ever used. Still on my first one too. HIIT workouts, by design, are definitely a sweat-fest!
Yoga can get me pretty sweaty! I’d love a no-slip headband.
Yoga takes things semi inverted too… these headbands would definitely work!
Getting back into running outside in New Orleans has been making me super sweaty!
Sweating in the bayou, I bet so!
Running makes me the sweatiest!!
